Medium – ACrylic on canvas(2 canvas) , and Alternate installation

These canvases are latest in the series that I am working on, I am trying to portray the canvas as a box(cuboid like shape) from which the art wants to liberate, the boundaries are always tense with action, but it always holds the art captive, In this installation what I am also try to present is the boz like shape of the installation which reiterates my introspection on the box like feel on canvas .
Hope it means something to you too.

ELBOW LEGGED

Has it ever happened to you?
you have this scrap of paper lying infront of you , and you just mean to play with it, just having some harmless(sometimes) fun, but a freak accident happens and vI iola , some nice work comes out, thats what I felt happened with this painting, its a rather small canvas, just 10 inches in breadth and 2.5 feet in length.
I rather like the payful quality we have here, I was drawing a simple arm when suddenly the part below the elbow felt a bit bumpy , like a butt. And the rest of it is infront of you, I liked making this one, hope you like viewing it.

Dealing with intrusion of space , how something so small can affect the whole space around it. It somewhat perplexes me how bothered we are with cockroaches and flies , but we in our metros live in such small spaces, where theres always a lack of private space(while we more and more fight for Me-time and Me-space). Ironical , hehehe.

From now on I will try giving you more insight into my works, my thought process and other things, I think its my responsibilty to give you a better prespective of what you see when you infront of my paintings.

Dragon masked mickey mouse carrying a doll head

Have you ever noticed how dark and fascinating chinese dragon and tiger masks are?
And how much horror there was to the humorous b/w mickey cartoons?
And Yknow what, doll heads arent all that cute, try having a look at them during twilight hours.
SO, here we are , with the image of two sides of the coin,
horror and humour , lavish and grotesque and innocent and deviant.

The series , like most of my works, is about the tension that sustain existence, the tension of dimensions, liek the dimensions of the artwork that restrict an artist but at the same time liberate him to make endless visions come true within that limited realm.

Been away a long time…not a good thing for the blog…its purpose is that it should be updated and stuff , right?

Yeah now I am blogginn…

Sooooooo….

I am actually back from my sabbatical and well with kinda a big update…. and lots stuff…
FIrst..had the annual exhibition…some other kids sold their paintings…I just got appreciated…hmmm
We werent allowed to take pics there..so no pics..

Went to the countryside to relax and paint a draw a bit

And Well I got a job as a concept artist at a small animation studio last week….Just quit today…. boring shit man….
And I am going to work on my comic and paintings for an exhibition…
